This place is soooo good. I’m from the south and new to living in Pennsylvania and haven’t really had much luck with food since I’ve been living here. But this place right here, really reminds me of living back home in the south. Everything is so flavorful!! I got the whiting fish, Mac and cheese and candied yams with cornbread. Everything was so delicious. I will definitely be coming back here!
Honestly the prices are a lil high for a plate for 1 but overall the food is great! the pic of mac nd cheese doesn’t do justice, i was thinking the same thing when looking at reviews but it is GOOOD & so flavorful , same w the chicken and yams & the cornbread is bussin hella buttery and good. Jus know i’m picky with my food but id definitely recommend this place and definitely going to order again
The shop is little but the food is on point. The location can be improved but you can only do so much in Scranton. I must visit
Delicious food. The people that own this establishment is top-tier. This was the fried catfish. I have had their other meals the fried chicken always on point. Their rice and beans excellent! A plus is that their family owned and they show up and they do the work! I don’t have to worry about them not there like some other businesses, I have witnessed closing early and or not opening at all in the middle of the week. Their food is good. The atmosphere is good. On the long workdays where I don’t have time to make dinner, they are a go to.
I don't know why everyone is so negative on here... First time trying food and having it delivered, I live pretty far from a big town/city and wanted something besides fast food. The chicken was delicious!!! Again, I live farrr like a 25 minute drive the person had, expected stuff to be cold but my goodness was I wrong!!! We got an 8pc meal and the tin was still hot to the touch! MAC AND CHEESE TOP TIER!! I will definitely be ordering here again!! Chicken was not dry whatsoever! Not crazy greasy also which is a plus! THEY ARE HUMAN TOO! Give it a try!

Ordered lunch from West Side Flava's this weekend and we were blown away by the chicken. We got the fried chicken and the chicken strip dinners with collard greens, string beans, red beansrice, and the cheesy broccoli. We got an extra side of Mac n cheese. The chicken is breaded and seasoned perfectly and cooked to just the right temp for it to still be tender and juicy. 5/5 will be coming back to try more!
I was in the area and noticed this place was close by & I decided to stop in. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I would definitely stop back by if I revisit the area.
